No one gets anywhere in this existence by embracing pessimism. This is a condition that generally comes with advancing age. Something not all that different than chronic colds leading to bronchitis that eventually transitions to a bout of fatal pneumonia. The current society being wired to address the fact of the most vulnerable of their consumers leaves the aged out of the picture in the popular spectrum of importance. The invisible chains forming the boundaries of the acceptable of today stretch back to the failures of the foresight of the past. The only thing that the old can offer to the young is this basic insight. Unfortunately, the same overbearing mechanism like any common virus takes this into account and each generation of the young must learn it the hard way through suffering through it. The world treats you according to your personal perspective that oft times finds you a victim and other times a conqueror. The key for solving this dilemma for better or worse lies in knowing and understanding the past from both sides. To take up the ability to cut the Gordian knot rather than waste time to decipher that which has been designed to be purposefully arcane. To know that the older one gets the more that they realize how little they know and how much less that they will come to understand about complexities. That is why simple truths last through the ages while long diatribes quickly disintegrate and fall into dust. The heart must save the mind from its continued folly and goad forth the emotions on a narrow path. Slavery comes from opportunities to easily offered by one’s self to the emptiness of the world.
